Members
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Members lists everyone who belongs to your workspace, along with their role (Owner, Admin, Member, or Viewer) and seat type (Planner or Viewer). It is the source of truth for who can do what across the whole organization, not just one project.
Role controls what a person can generally do (for example, manage billing or invite others), while seat type controls whether they can create and edit content (Planner) or only read it (Viewer). The two are related but distinct, and both show up on this page.
Most day-to-day member management happens from this page: confirming someone has the right access, adjusting a role after a promotion, or removing someone who has left the team.

- Prefer Viewer seats for stakeholders who only need to read, to control seat costs.
- Pair a role change with a quick message to the affected member so they know what changed.
Common mistakes
Section titled “Common mistakes”- Leaving former teammates with active access long after they have left.
- Giving everyone Planner seats by default instead of matching seat type to actual need.
- Changing a member role without telling them, causing confusion about new permissions.
