Profile & preferences
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Profile & preferences holds everything about your personal account that is not shared with the rest of the workspace: display name, avatar, contact email, and personal preferences such as notification defaults.
These settings follow you across every workspace you belong to; changing your display name here updates how you appear in every organization, not just the one you are currently viewing.
This page is separate from organization-level settings such as billing or member roles, which live under Organization instead. If a setting affects other people, it usually is not here.
What you can do here
Section titled “What you can do here”- Update your display name and avatar.
- Confirm or update your contact email.
- Adjust personal notification preferences.
- Review which workspaces your account belongs to.
When to use
Section titled “When to use”- Right after first login, to set your name and avatar correctly.
- When your name changes or you want a different avatar.
- When notifications feel too noisy or too quiet and need adjusting.
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- A signed-in member account.
- No special role required; these are personal settings for everyone.

Step-by-step

/settings/profile. - Review your current display name, avatar, and contact email.
- Update your display name or avatar if it needs a change.
- Adjust notification preferences to match how you want to be alerted.
- Save and confirm the change reflects across the app.
- Repeat for any other workspace where the same settings feel out of date.
